as easy as pie means "very easy" (same as "a piece of cake")
Example: He said it is a difficult problem, but I don't agree. It seems as easy as pie to me!
be sick and tired of means "I hate" (also "can't stand")
Example: I'm sick and tired of doing nothing but work. Let's go out tonight and have fun.
bend over backwards means "try very hard" (maybe too much!)
Example: He bent over backwards to please his new wife, but she never seemed satisfied.
bite off more than one can chew means "take responsibility for more than one can manage"
Example: John is so far behind in his studies. Besides classes, he plays sports and works at a part-time job. It seems he has bitten off more than he can chew.
We don’t bill Gates the full cover charge, because he is our subscriber.”
- When you decide to give her a ring, give us a ring. (Quảng cáo cho tiệm kim hoàn). Trong mệnh đề thứ nhất, từ ring được dùng theo nghĩa đen, nên give her a ring có nghĩa là tặng / trao nhẫn cho nàng; nhưng give us a ring lại được dùng theo nghĩa call / phone us.
- Have you thought about buying our new bed? Sleep on it.
- It’s not worth dying for a drink.
- Your views are reflected in The Mirror. (Quảng cáo cho báo The Mirror).
- Christmas is a time to think of family ties. Buy ours.

What to say when… (p1)
... You want to show your appriciation:
There are times when you really cannot find words to appreciate someone's gesture. You are too overwhelmed to express yourself. In this case it is best to say that you are speechless. You can say you have no words to thank him/her or that you are short of words. You can thank the person by saying that you wish there were others like him/ her, thus acknowledging how much the person meant to you.
Life takes turns of joys and sorrows. There are times of deep grief of bereavement of a loved one. There are times of feeling low about a broken relationship, a wrong decision or an utter failure. When you come out of the trauma, you think of the people who have supported you, encouraged you to start afresh. It’s important to thank them for being with you, being there for you. Here are some verses that you can use...
- Thanks for everything you've done in ... to make my ...
- Thank you for your support and help during ...
- Thanks for all your help... I couldn't have done it without you.

... You are about to eat:
These are phrases used to at the beginning or end of meals and mean something like "Have a good meal" / "Enjoy your meal". There is no exact English equivalent of this, though some people say "Bon appetit", particularly in restaurants.
Many people say grace, a short prayer recited before or after a meal to invoke a blessing upon the food or to give thanks for it.

... Someone very close to you, loses a loved one:
When someone very close to you, loses a loved one, you find it difficult to find words that can help you express your exact feelings. Death is something which is harsh and leaves you speechless for a long time. Even though giving condolence is not an easy thing, you cannot run away from it. Keeping mum or running away from the situation is not a solution, since you must acknowledge the fact of death. So, what to say when someone dies? We stumble upon wrong phrases that can hurt the griever. It is not necessary that you use heavy words or long sentences for offering your sympathy. Consoling for death is quite challenging and here are some guidelines on things to say when someone dies.
Things to Say When Someone Dies
Losing a loved one and accepting the fact that he/she is no more with us is very difficult. At such times we require support of our family and friends to help get over the grief. Many people fear from offering their sympathy and keep mum. One should never do that. Short and simple words can also help in conveying the condolence. "I am sorry for your loss", is a very simple sentence and expresses your sympathy in a sensitive way. To convey your support to the griever you can use words like, 'What can I do for you?" or "Is there anything that you need?" It is not necessary that you load the griever with your heavy emotional words. Many a times people just need someone who can listen to their grief. So, you can say, "If you need to talk, am always there".
Things Which Should Not be Said When Someone Dies
Many people do a big mistake by saying the sentence, "I can understand what you are going through". Though this sounds to be a consoling statement it is actually an insensitive sentence. One can never ever understand what rough phase is the griever going through. Instead you can say, "I do not know what to say, since I cannot imagine what you are going through". One more wrong way of expressing sympathy is, "Time will heal all the wounds." It is a fact no doubt, but you should keep in mind that the griever needs your support and care at this moment. So, say something that will relate to griever's present feeling like, "I can understand that it is very difficult for you".
Things to Say in a Sympathy Card
When you cannot meet the person personally, you should send a sympathy card to offer your words of condolence. Though there are no specific rules for writing a sympathy card, there are few things you should keep in mind. See that you keep the sympathy card simple and use a bit informal language. Use handwritten sympathy card and never go for a printed one. Printed sympathy cards will reflect your insensitiveness. You can mention some good qualities of the passed one and say that you will always remember him/her for those features.
Things to Say When Someone has Died Unexpectedly
Sudden loss of loved one is very difficult to face and consoling for such unexpected or accidental death is also difficult, since you yourself cannot believe or accept the fact. At such times you can use words like, "I am so sorry, I just cannot believe it" or you can say, "I just do not know what to say". Non verbal gestures also convey lots of things and griever is assured that you are always there for him/her. So, if you are unable to say anything then, a warm hug, arms on shoulder, a tight handshake or a pat on back can help express your sympathy towards the griever.
There is no specific framed answer to the question, what things to say when someone dies. But, one should take care that he/she does not use harsh statements. Do not use too much of philosophical statements and just express your feelings in short by using the exact words.

Ông viết vào thế kỷ thứ XVIII: "It is commonly observed, that when two Englishmen meet, their first talk is of the weather,"

How to link sentences
When writing a comment or an essay, you should always try to connect your sentences in such a way that the readers know in what way the two sentences, or two parts of one sentence, are related to each other. This makes it easier for the readers to follow your train of thought because they are either constantly sent back to what they already know or they are, in advance, given the information on how to understand the sentence they are about to read.
