International Engineering Scholarship for Academic Achievement

Học bổng The ‘International Engineering Scholarship for Academic Achievement’ là học bổng dành cho sinh viên muốn theo học đại học khoa kỹ thuật Faculty of Engineering của trường đại học University of Wollongong. Học bổng dựa vào thành tích học tập của sinh viên, sinh viên đủ điều kiện có thể nhận học bổng cho khóa kỹ thuật hoặc vật lý.

 

 

Sinh viên đăng ký cần đạt 93% hoặc hơn trong kỳ thi lớp 12 sẽ nhận được học bổng khi bắt đầu khóa học như sau:

• $3,000.00 tiền mặt mỗi năm, và trong vòng 2 năm. Sinh viên sẽ nhận được phần học bổng này 2 lần, mỗi lần là $1,500.00 trước mỗi học kỳ (thu và xuân).
• $1000.00 chi phí đi lại khi học sinh tham gia chương trình học chuyển tiếp 6 tháng tại các trường đại học đối tác của UOW tại Mỹ, Anh, Pháp, Đức và Châu Á. Lưu ý, học sinh phải tự lo visa để có thể theo học tại các nước này.
• Được tham gia các khóa học nâng cao, chương trình hội thảo cao học, hỗ trợ những buổi học thêm,  tham gia các dự án nghiên cứu, giúp thúc đẩy nhanh việc hoàn thiện việc học.

Sinh viên phải bảo đảm đạt được điểm WAM mỗi năm là 75 để bảo đảm việc tiếp tục được nhận học bổng từ khoa.

Top 10 sinh viên nhận được học bổng này sẽ được đi thực tập trong dịp hè. Ngoài kinh nghiệm làm việc, sinh viên còn được nhận lương tối thiểu là $5,000 mỗi năm trong vòng 3 năm nếu làm việc cho UOW, và mức lương này có thể cao hơn nếu làm việc cho các công ty trong lĩnh vực kỹ thuật này. Khoa kỹ thuật sẽ hỗ trợ sinh viên trong việc tìm kiếm việc làm tại các công ty đối tác.

Dành cho sinh viên đăng ký khóa Diploma và Bachelor - kể từ 2011, sinh viên chuyển tiếp từ các bằng cấp khác đăng ký khóa đại học khoa Kỹ thuật  cũng có thể đăng ký cho suất học bổng này. Để đủ tiêu chuẩn, sinh viên với bằng Diploma phải đạt điểm trung bình GPA 3.8/4, hoặc tương đương 95%.  Sinh viên chuyển tiếp từ chương trình đại học khác phải đạt được số điêm tương đương 93% trong quá trình học tại thời điểm đăng ký.

Engineering Scholars degree and Physics Advanced is a Bachelor degree for high performing students.  

At the University of Wollongong we understand that certain students need a more challenging environment from their undergraduate studies.  The Bachelor of Engineering - Scholars, Bachelor of Medical Radiation Physics Advanced and Bachelor of Physics Advanced offers a range of additional opportunities during your degree.  International students who are eligible to apply for the Bachelor of Engineering - Scholars, Bachelor of Medical Radiation Physics Advanced and Bachelor of Physics Advanced, are also eligible for the "Engineering Scholars International Undergraduate Scholarship"

All students that achieve the equivalent of 95% or above in their year 12 examinations will receive the  Engineering Scholars International Undergraduate Scholarship and will be guaranteed, on commencement of study, to:

• $3,000.00 cash per annum. Students receive two X $1,500.00 instalments per year payable at the beginning of each new semester (autumn and spring) for two years.
• A 1 time guaranteed $1000 travel grant for the student to study abroad for 6 months at one of UOW Engineering’s high-profile partner universities in the UK, USA, France, Germany or Asia. Please note: you will have to gain access to the specified destination or institution to receive this grant. 
• Access to postgraduate seminars, extra tutoring, research projects in-place of coursework elective modules, and accelerated learning/completion.
• Access to Summer Vacation Scholarship program for the Top 10 international students. The work experience will have a minimum value of $5,000.00.

Students must obtain a WAM of at least 75 in each academic session to keep the scholarship offered by the Faculty.

Diploma and Bachelor Applicants - 

from 2011 student's applying for Bachelor degrees in Faculty of Engineering with credit transfer from other qualifications are eligible for the scholarship. To be eligible for scholarship Diploma holders must obtain a GPA of 3.8 out of 4, or equivalent to 95% in a completed qualification.  Bachelor transfer applicant's will be required to have an equivalent to 95% in their studies at the time of application.
