Dear Agents and Partners,

Greetings from Think: Education Group. Firstly may we take this opportunity to wish you a peaceful Festive Season and a prosperous New Year.

As we move toward the close of the 2008 business year, undoubtedly we’re all absorbing the implications of the recently announced changes to the Skilled Migration Program. These changes provide an important link between education and employment.

For over 20 years, our Colleges have been delivering great career outcomes to our graduates in their chosen fields. As such, we expect that the changes to the Skilled Migration Program will be positive for our Colleges – particularly, Billy Blue College of Design and William Blue College of Hospitality and Tourism.

Some key facts about our Colleges include:

  • Our history, reputation and close links with Industry ensure we deliver courses that meet the needs of our industries, maximising the opportunity for our students to achieve great employment outcomes.
  • Many of our courses provide students with the opportunity to undertake a paid industry placement of up to 900 hours. This means that students are known to industry with a proven track record in the workplace, well before they graduate.
  • We have a dedicated Careers and Alumni Team in place to support students to obtain part-time work experience & industry placements during their studies. Gaining real industry experience is an essential part of a students study experience with Think: Education Group.
  • Our Careers and Alumni Team also assist students and graduates with personal presentation skills, resume preparation and interview skills. The team is exceptionally well networked in industry, which enables them to identify job opportunities and arrange job interviews with leading employers in their chosen field.
  • Our two-year Graphics Pre Press Course, delivered by Billy Blue College of Design, and Commercial Cookery Course, delivered by William Blue College of Hospitality and Tourism, continue to be very attractive to students from around the world. We have strict capacity limits and as such we would advise any students seeking entry into these programs to finalise their applications as soon as possible.
  • Check out our web site www.think.edu.au for information on the diverse range of programs available at our colleges. Courses range from Diplomas to Bachelor degrees.
