Important Information for Vietnamese Agents – Primary Schools Program
- Primary school students must live with one or both parents (mother or father) for the duration of their studies.
- The ISC does not require primary school students to take 20 weeks of English prior to commencing their primary school program. Students do not require an IELTS test for Kindergarten up to term 2 in Year 6.
- The ISC will not arrange OSCH for the parent accompanying the student. The parent must arrange for OSCH directly through Medicare Private online at: http://www.medibank.com.au/Client/StaticPages/OSHCHome.aspx
Students entering term 3 in Year 6 will require an intensive 20 week English program before starting their primary school program.
I hope the above clarifies some of the incorrect information about our program.
You must provide clear information for parents who wish to come with their primary school student under the guardian visa.
Guardians on the student guardian visa cannot work and must satisfy the visa conditions including:
- Not engage in work
- Not engage in study or training for more than three months
- Maintain Overseas Visitor Health Cover for yourself and any dependent children living with you in Australia
- Continue to satisfy the primary criteria for the grant of the visa
- Live with the student for whom you are the guardian and provide appropriate accommodation, general welfare and other support. if the parent leaves the country then they will be required to take the student with them.
