With over 20 years of experience and an extensive network of offices across Vietnam and Australia, SET Study Abroad is proud to be your trusted companion, helping you establish the shortest, safest, and most cost-effective study-to-migration pathway.

Why is Australia a top destination for Vietnamese migrants?

Australia consistently ranks among the world’s most desirable countries to live in, thanks to its outstanding quality of life and social welfare policies:

  • World-class healthcare system: Ranked 32nd globally according to WHO, with free medical treatment for Permanent Residents (PR) and citizens through Medicare.
  • Internationally recognized education: Free tuition at public schools from Year 1 to Year 12 for children of Permanent Residents, with universities ranked among the world’s Top 1%.
  • Stable and developed economy: A transparent labor market, high average income, and strong protection of workers’ rights.
  • One of the world’s most powerful passports: Visa-free access to more than 180 countries and territories after obtaining Australian citizenship.

The Most Popular Australian Migration Visa Pathways

The Australian Government continuously updates its migration policies to attract skilled professionals from around the world. Below are some of the most popular migration pathways that SET Study Abroad provides specialized consulting for:

1. Skilled Migration Visa

This is one of the most popular pathways for young professionals, international students, and skilled workers with qualifications in occupations experiencing high demand in Australia, such as Nursing, Information Technology, Engineering, Early Childhood Education, and STEM fields.

  • Visa 189 (Skilled Independent): Independent skilled migration with direct Permanent Residency eligibility.
  • Visa 190 (Skilled Nominated): Skilled migration pathway sponsored by an Australian state or territory.
  • Visa 491 (Skilled Work Regional): Regional skilled temporary visa pathway leading to Permanent Residency through Visa 191 after meeting the required conditions.

2. Study to PR Pathway

A safe and sustainable pathway for Vietnamese students. SET Study Abroad helps you choose the right priority occupation, institution, and Regional area to maximize your migration points, including regional study points, Professional Year points, and qualification points.

The Standard Australian Study-to-Migration Pathway

To successfully obtain Australian Permanent Residency (PR), you need to follow a structured and carefully planned pathway:

1.Choose the Right Field of Study & Institution: Preparation Stage.

Choose occupations listed on Australia’s Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and study at reputable partner institutions such as Charlton Brown (NIET Group), UTAS, QUT, and more to optimize costs and employment opportunities.

2.Complete Your Studies & Meet English Language Requirements: Accumulation Stage.

Complete a minimum two-year course in Australia to become eligible for the Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485). At the same time, achieve the required English language score (IELTS Academic 7.0+ or PTE 65+, depending on the occupation).

3.Skills Assessment: Decision Stage.

Submit your application to the relevant skills assessment authority designated by the Australian Government, such as ANMAC for Nursing or ACS for IT, to demonstrate that your professional qualifications meet Australian standards.

4.Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) & Apply for State Nomination: Acceleration Stage.

Submit your EOI through the SkillSelect system. Based on your accumulated points (65 points or more), you may wait to receive an invitation to apply for a visa from the Australian Government or a state or territory.
