New updates on work hours for international students in Australia from 01/07/2023
New regulations on work hours for international students from 01/07/2023
To continue meeting the demand for human resources for occupations in Australia, the number of allowed working hours for international students will continue to be loosened.
More specifically, from 01/072023, working hours will be increased from 40 hours every two weeks to a new level of 48 hours every two weeks. This can simultaneously help international students make ends meet and gain more experience in their field of study.
This new regulation on work hours will apply to all international students and is not limited by course start time.
And don’t forget that the Australian Government is always committed to protecting the rights of international students. Therefore, you can contact the Fair Work Inspectors if you are treated unfairly at work.
