Dear Agents,

The Airport Reception Services will be available to new International Student commencing their studies at Curtin for the very first time and to student transferring from offshore campus on to Bentley Campus. This service is available from 12 January 2009 to 6 March 2009 during the first semester intake.

Airport Liaison Officers will meet the student on arrival and provide them with an airport reception pack and a taxi voucher escort them to the taxi, and give direction to the taxi driver to take them to the on-campus accommodation. The taxi voucher should be used only for transfer from airport to on-campus accommodation or the preferred hotel booked by us.  If the student uses the taxi voucher for any other purpose, the International Office will recover this amount from the student.

For students who have no on campus accommodation and request us to book them a hotel (which is our preferred hotel – Good Earth/Ambassador Hotel) this transfer service will be offered to them.  These students will be required to stay at the hotel for a minimum period of two nights, or three nights if they arrive on a Friday.

The following day after the student arrives they will be met at the hotel Lobby at 8.30 am sharp, by housing staff, who will assist them to find permanent accommodation in Perth.

For Students accompanied by their family members we will not be able to provide them with a taxi voucher.  Family members will need to organise their own transportation at their own cost.
